Finally, a real reason to buy a Mac

MacSaberMostly consisting of a cutesey, flashy casing and an operating system that is remarkable only for the fact that it isn’t Windows, Apple’s products have long struck me as expensive fashion items of little real value. Much like a quarter of a million dollar Chanel handbag. Now there is finally a serious reason to aquire one:

MacSaber 1.1

MacSaber uses your Mac’s sudden motion sensor to detect movements, fast and slow. As you move your laptop, MacSaber plays varying levels of Light Saber sound effects, from a waving sound to exciting saber crashes.

Ivo, I’m surprised that you seem to be showing signs of jealousy. No need to be jealous of Mac users. There is nothing to fear my friend, of course it is natural to fear the unknown, but better not to judge it until you’ve tried it.
WRT “an operating system that is remarkable only for the fact that it isn’t Windows” is not quite true. The Apple OS X is built on FreeBSD, an operating system which is significantly more mature, stable, scalable secure and robust than most. On it’s own it’s a remarkable o/s which is sited for all the qualities I just mentioned as well as it’s most open license and model of development. It is used in everything from the Google supercomputer to Amazons E3 platform all the way down to all the Macs. Apple just use it as the engine and then they put some flashy pretty things around it. The beauty is not in what you see, it’s what’s under the hood. Besides, nowadays you can even run Windows on a Mac (if anyone actually wants to bah!)
