Time out — and best wishes

The longest I’ve gone without posting since I started this blog is (IIRC) two days, so an administrivia notice is probably in order. As much as I’d like to discuss the US primaries, lay into John Maynard Keynes, fret about Pakistan and Kenya, and make fun of global warmists, this break will likely be longer. Comment approval and responses may also be somewhat slower than usual.

I’m rather under the weather, and the weather in question appears to be too complex for science to explain, cure or even predict with any degree of confidence. I strongly suspect my illness is caused by a cavalier disregard for the moral obligation to over-indulge this festive season, but the medical profession appears to have a pecuniary interest in convincing me further research is called for.

I shall return soon, in better spirits than my year began.

In the mean time, my thanks to all of you who read, commented, or linked here in 2007, and my best wishes for 2008.

Update: I’m back. I’m not up to speed yet, and have a lot of real work to catch up on, so posting will be sporadic and light for now.
